They just yelled out of their truck, "You wanna sell that Volvo?" I just went, "Um, no, not really," and they were satisfied with that and drove away. But seriously, wtf? Is there such a market for 16-year-old cars that driving around hoping to stumble on someone with a spare car is a viable business plan?

I live in Sherman Oaks and my old 1990 Ford Tempo is parked out front on our blacktop driveway (not on the street) I've had loads of business cards left on it, and people knocking on the door asking me the same thing? What the hell?
I'm guessing they want to recycle parts?
I'm not selling it. It's only there because I was sick in 2002 and didn't know to get a "non-operable" permit, so the fees have piled up..I use another car, so it's not a problem.
But, who would think that type of car would get offers?
