I just realized. I was reading a Linux kernel manual on my Kindle when my boss came in. (IMHO, that's one area where ebooks shine: technical documentation. No more elk-stunners that have to be replaced in a few years.) What if he thinks I was reading a novel or something at work? Should I proactively tell him? Should I not worry?*

What do you call those thingummies that fasten two pieces of paper so that the top one can sort of pivot around the fastener? They look sort of like a nail, but they have two thin metal “tails” that you stick through the layers of paper and then bend back. (I’m trying to make decoder wheels for my Linux students.)
