If only everyone experiencing road rage was traveling with someone who was such a calming influence!

Indeed! I know I could use some calming sometimes as well. Though on longer trips, I feel like I am better at keeping calm, something about psyching myself up for the fact I'm going to be on the road a looooong time. On short trips when I just want to get where I'm going, I get so irritated at drivers who aren't paying attention. Sometimes my kid is good at reminding me to stay calm, which is nice. :)

Traveling with a Buddha makes life easier, as do french fries, a necessary part of any road trip and a well-known antidote to road rage.

Good entry! I get real stressed out when I'm with someone who's a rageful driver like that; then I get behind the wheel and, every now and then, just rage-out myself. I feel like I could relate to both characters there.

Thank you! Oh man, I'm exactly the same way, it's easier to be calm when I'm not the driver, haha!

Yep, I'm pretty zen when I'm the passenger! 75% zen when I'm the driver; it'd be nice to get that to 100% ;)

It's amazing what a basic personality difference accounts for someone who freaks out at every adversity while driving, and someone who doesn't really find any of it particularly stressful. If you're not naturally that more zen person, it's a hard road to getting there! If ever. :O

So true! It took me a long time to feel more relaxed when driving. The day my son was two years old and repeated me when I shouted, "Fuckers!" made me re-think my whole approach to road aggravation, hehe. I still get angry at some stuff, but you should hear me now, my tempered keeping-it-under-the-lid approach when it comes to driving with my son in the car (he's 5 now).. I'll say something like, "Oh.. MAN! That.. driver is so rude. That was NOT polite that they came into my lane without using a blinker. And, it was unsafe. It's important to drive safely." Hahaha! If he's not in the car, all bets are off. ;)
