holy crap, you were a cute kid. "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME, BOY??" and "how would a grown man even fit in there?" hee! and the image of a thirteen-year-old little brother covering his face with his hands because his mom and sister just do not get the internet is adorable. also the goats. goats are so cute. this is a really well-done intro.

Thank you so so much!! I believe the extra feistiness and shaking of fists was me emulating the movie "Annie" but I am not 100% sure on that one.

Yeah my younger brother, mom, and I all still laugh when we talk about the setting up of the internet. XD

Your post really reached into my heart. I, too, have only one son, despite much effort to get pregnant. There were also miscarriages. We also have a similar relationship, my son and I. He's 25 and we can still talk about anything. We used to lay in his bed, sometimes, when he was younger, and just talk all night about anything and everything.

Also, you really do have the best job in the world. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Oh wow, I'm so glad you had that response to this. I'm sorry you have also been through the pain of miscarriage. That's wonderful you have a son, and that you two are so close.

Such a lovely entry.

I'm a fellow animal lover - we have five dogs in our guesthouse, a sassy cow that keeps jumping the fence to go where she shouldn't, all sorts of birds, lizards, rattlesnakes, and hopefully a kitten or two soon.
