Reporting in again: Still got power, still got internet, storm's not much worse than a standard big storm. According to the Weather Channel map and predictions, the eye is just going over Virginia Beach and will pass well east of us. The current storm conditions are likely to be the worst that will hit us (knock on wood, god willing, etc. etc.).

Passing well east of the house, yes, but my worry is the base. If the hurricane does too much damage, I'll get stuck out here even longer. =x
