Thank you soooooooooo much!!! I've been playing around with tutorials for a few days now (I just bought photoshop), and this is the first one I understood and was able to follow. The screen prints were especially helpful, since I'm having a helluva time trying to figure out where everything is.

aw, i'm so happy right now!

i'm fairly new to serious icon making and such, so i tend to look for tutorials complete with screencaps. i like making newbie-friendly tuts because they help me a lot too! so i'm glad to hear that this was helpful for you! i had to figure out most of this myself :[ so i like to be as specific and visual as possible, 'cause i'm a visual learner. and, photoshopping can be frustrating if you don't know what to do.

that's one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, very good commentary and pictures and everything. And the result is great too;)

Oh wow thank you! That means a lot because I'm fairly new to tutorials [this is my third]

I signed up but I'm not sure how to go about posting haha. What do I put under "avatar name" or whatever it was called?

To submit a tutorial go to "Submit Tutorial", and fill out the tutorial title, url, description and category and upload the tutorial end result picture.

You probably looked at the "Submit Avatar", which is a new section of ICONS and is for submitting icons/avatars (yours are welcome too =)

I am sorry the page is a little confuting right now, I promise we are working on it.If you have any more questions please ask.
