So I am making Skittles Vodka. Double batch. What they fail to mention is that, even with just one coffee filter, it takes for-fucking-ever for the vodka to filter through. I'm glad I have two funnels so I can double my throughput, but damn

So I don't know if the filters I have are just super thick or what, but it's very frustrating. I don't drink coffee, so I don't have any frame of reference for what works. I did discover that wet filters let liquid through slightly faster. Water would be counter-productive, so I've been wetting them with my leftover Silver Stoli. :)

Speaking of which, the same link also has a recipe for vodka infused gummi bears. I'm making those, too. I actually have 6 batches going: 3 rum, 3 vodka, one of each for gummi bears, gummi worms, and sour patch kids. We'll see how they turn out.

The sad part is that I don't actually like vodka all that much. I was licking my fingers a bit while filtering the skittles vodka, though, so I think I've found my solution. Pun intended. :)
