Zahnnie came over on Saturday after we got Caryatid moved into her new apartment. She wanted to snuggle Zelda. Unfortunately, Zelda had vomited up a peach pit (wtf? We haven't even had peaches in forever) and rolled around in it that morning. So Zelda smelled like puke. It was awful. (If the Febreeze doesn't work, how about the puppy enzyme spray? I have to assume most of the unpleasant smells are of organic origin.... If nothing else, the enzymatic stuff has a pleasant, orangey smell.)

Probably a good idea. I'd be worried about what it'd do to the foam if the foam was worth worrying about, but since it isn't, I'm not. I might drag it to the back porch to air out, too. That way I can clean the carpet underneath it, just in case.

How do you like the new apartment?

Getting there -- I'm sure it'll be better once the painting's done (whenever they get AROUND to it) and I can actually start to unpack, for real.
I'm still mostly in the crabby "this isn't the same and I dislike change" riff. :-P

Also, INSTEAD of painting yesterday, the LL/manager's repair/paint/misc. men broke the Comcast cable TV and internet that I'd finally gotten working after a day off work to meet the installer and MULTIPLE HOURS' troubleshooting over the phone with Tech Support, on top of the mad fat sacks of cash you pay for the services and tech visit. So now I get to take more time off work and pay AGAIN for a home visit to fix it. Since this is clearly the LL's goons' fault, I may just have to short my rent by the amount of the repair fees.

They're training for all the gross stuff that kids will bring. :P

I was REALLY squeamish before we got Charlie. Soon, I was cleaning up poop, vomit.... poop vomit (that one was special). He was an expert at having an accident, stepping in it, and tracking it all over the carpet before we found out.
