I never read book in that era, but the cover makes it look interesting (and seems something you really enjoyed)

The cover is a bit misleading :) It's more of a historical fiction than a romance--but it's quite wonderful.

I know you'd like these novels. Aside from everything else, there's a ton of Scottish history in them.

I have read all of them--but not all at once. I discovered the books when the American publisher was just starting to bring them out and they did one a year, so it was a process. It's really an amazing series--and I say that as someone who's not necessarily fond of long series.
