Went to read the NYT's review. Fascinating. Just checked and the library has a couple copies of this. (If I actually act on this information, I'll message you.)

You recommended this when it came out and amazingly I actually found it in a village bookshop in Scotland and enjoyed it.

I didn't realize you had a chance to read it. I loved the way he mashed up fiction and history. Who'd think you could make the nuts and bolts of economic planning interesting!
