I'm just home from the gastrologist.
Ben drove me - it was a long, long way (an hour each way) so he saved me a fortune in taxi fare, even with my half price card.
He got to understand why I don't want him to be involved in my care, because of the resulting tests and appointments. I want him to be independant of that. Today was a bit of a one off because it was so far to travel.
Anyway, I got 7th Dec for my gastroscopy (very pleased with that!!) in a hospital in Coburg for $300. (It was going to be that, or $350, so I got the cheaper price). When I get the papers from the hospital I'll contact them to try and get a bulk billing anaesthetist. (I bet it's up to what day it's' on)
Also have to go for an ultrasound (closest place is Moonee Ponds) - need to ring and book it. This is to check my gallbladder, which may also be a cause of the problem, apparently.
Still got my fructose and lactose testing to do, so now I have some energy back, I'm going to be a busy girlie!
I'm SO pleased the operation is so soon. I really am getting sick of yoghurt. I roasted a chicken last night - that went down ok, so I'm getting a bit of a break from my 'normal' diet..
