Reading is always good, and one of my great pleasures in life as, I suspect, it is in yours.
I am glad that you enjoyed Floodland, it was one of my favourites, made all the more poignant in that I spent a good chunk of my early adulthood in Norwich where the book starts and could therefore picture it quite easily.
I am lucky, Maggie, in that I am both a fast reader and someone who needs little sleep (on average 5 1/2 hours a night), so a lot of my reading is done when everyone else in the house has gone to sleep. I also have books being read in most rooms of the house, and have been caught reading while cooking even.
That leaves my 89 books in the dust. An interesting and varied list. I've decided that the power of the tilde is stronger than the power of the asterisk. I fear the tilde.
