These boots are walking

Yep, the treadesk is up an running and I am actually walking on it as I type this. It's very odd feeling at first and it's taken me about an hour before I felt that I could type comfortably. The starting speed of the tread is 0.5 mph and that felt too slow, almost like I was pretending to walk. 1mph seems the most comfortable so far and I can both ( Read more... )

Sounds good. I'm going to get my son to make a simple shelf that fits across my treadmill's arms so I can try it with my laptop. Looking forward to your pictures.

Have you looked at the pictures on Art's journal, Karen, as he seems to have a very nifty set up, both a shelf across his treadmill, and a another higher shelf for the monitor. It's a little simpler for me as I used a laptop.

I am definitely OK on typing and reading from the screen - I did an hour before breakfast this morning. My mouse clicking skill seem to need work, but I think that might be more to do wth the fact that this is makeshift desk and is not as sturdy as the wood one will be, so there is a slight wobble which throws the pointer off my chosen target!

I have seen his pictures. I'll look again and show my son. Are you using an external mouse or the pad on your laptop? My guess is an external would work a bit better.
