A sweet mother's day gift

T took it upon himself to buy his gift by himself without his dad's input. He took himself off to our local independent book store and bought three books for me. The first he chose himself. I will! T is not good at crafts or anything artistic so he can't make cards or gifts. For the last couple of years, he wrote quite touching letters instead of Mothers' Day cards, but this year claimed to be too old to do that and instead found a very simple card with a Shakespearian quote on it which I really appreciated.

I had actually read the mystery, but wasn't going to tell him this, but he guessed and so insisted that I called in to the bookstore to exchange it as he knew that would be all right - and it was!

They are the best book store ever! In fact, it was in their window that I saw Mudville for the first time in the flesh and snapped a picture for skutir.
