Its been a tough slog, but I am almost at the end of A Call to ArmsI have just left Sandy MacKay, my protagonist, sitting under a tree with his father, brother and some of the 5th Lincoln Militia at 6:00 p.m. on July 25th 1814. By 7:00 p.m. battle will commence

That's awesome, Gillian. It sounds like a book I'll line up to get. And I know the boys in my library will enjoy it.

Are you using your treadmill set up? I've started and plan to blog about it shortly.

I have been quite successfully until this last week. I find the motion very conducive to writing. The reason I haven't been this week is that my desk is covered with papers, maps, notes, books on the battle itself which I am constantly consulting and I've found I can't do that while walking!
