Irregardless
The young red head sat leaning in the chair, glancing through the papers, reading off the errors and then disregarding it all together.
“Irregardless, “ he began but even before he could finish he was interrupted.
“Regardless.”
Izzy’s mouth hung open in mid sentence, and his brow furrowed as his eyes slowly drifted up in thought, before he wheeled himself around. He pouted, directing his attention over at the older male who seemed to have his attention elsewhere.
“Excuse me?” Izzy asked, a tone at the edge of his voice that suggested he was rather annoyed.
“Regardless.” Madison corrected again, repeating in the same tasteless tone as before, this time though as if sensing Izzy’s glowering eyes he sat up from hovering over his desk, and adjusted the goggles on top of his head, pulling back the filter mask down to his chin.
“Irregardless isn’t a word.“
He tried to hide the smile, but it couldn’t be helped as he watched the red head’s expression go from being annoyed, to caught off guard, to perplexed and then annoyed once again.
There was a tensing silence before Izzy wheeled himself around in the chair, leaning back and holding the papers up as if pretending to review over them again, propping his legs on the desk.
“Irregardless… “ He started again, a tone daring Madison to even try to interrupt him once more, as he continued. Madison inwardly chuckled returning to his own project.
