Petal: regarding HBP... He doesn't actually get off of the Hogwarts Express, but at the BEGINNING of the book, it's made clear to the Dursley's that Harry has to come back there for at least part of the summer, to extend the protection from his mother until either his birthday or for another year, I'm not too clear on that. As for the actual END of the book, Jo left it at Hogwarts.

OH WAIT.

Page 606, British version:

'I'm going back to the Dursley's once more, because Dumbledore wanted me to,' said Harry. 'But it'll be a short visit, and then I'll be gone for good.'

The rest of the book is spent with Harry, Hermione, and Ron talking a bit and then that's it. No Hogwarts Express, no final scene with anyone threatening the Dursleys.
