I started writing this piece last week, exploring the idea of obstinate!wee!Sammy a little more, but had to stop as both girlies and myself fell ill with the dreaded stomach bug lurgy. The little one is finally coming around now, but man, three sick people in one house is not fun ( Read more... )

Thanks! My girls never actually threw up on me, but the oldest once puked over her dad while he was tickling her. Right in his mouth.

A ha! I loved this!!! I love that the Impala driving into the garage was how DEAN was made to eat. And SAM! Oh Sam. You will never eat again if the show is anything to go by.

Loved it.

Thanks. You just know Dean would eat if the Impala was involved. And that Sammy was unconvinced by the same routine.

I'm still giggling! I have many a memory of feeding friend's babies and the different tactics used. Baby food is generally pretty nasty (I tried the John Winchester "look it's yummy! I'M eating it!" technique. Blah!) I've also done the insert food while baby is crying trick. And the embrassing noises and swooping spoons. It's much more amusing when it's happening to other people's fictional characters though!

I particularly love Sammy's "All gone!" Ha!

Thanks. I never gave my kids actual baby food stuff - they got home made goop - which they generally ate quite well. I do remember tasting it when a friend of mine had a baby, and wondering why she wanted to poison her kid.

Still, it’s pretty bland, with the consistency of soggy blotting paper. But if Dean can swallow it, so can he. He chokes it down, and even manages to lick his lips. Sammy watches him, wide-eyed and solemn, completely unconvinced by the whole charade.

And here we see why Sam was always going to be Stanford-bound.

John nods to Dean, who lifts his eyebrow sceptically, but obliges with appropriate engine revs.

So Dean. So very, very Dean.

“All gone,” Sammy pronounces sweetly, and turns to John, sending him an adorable, angelic and almost wholly innocent smile.

I love you, Sammy.

You seriously need an icon for these fics. One with JP smiling, all dimples and "All gone" written on it.

Thanks. I loved the idea of Sammy, even as a toddler, already walking his own road. And Dean following orders, taking his lead from John. I love the idea of JP with his smiling face, and a big all gone written on it. *g*
