Oh my that was so heartbreaking. And while a part of me understands John`s underlying fear and motivation what he`s doing is exactly the kind of thing that broke Dean down to a point where he felt his life wasn`t worth enough. It`s a big part of the reason John had to look upon his son comatose in a hospital bed more than twenty years later. Argh.

Wonderful job.

Thank you! I'm so glad you got John's motivation for doing this - it's screwed up, but you can see his logic. He's not a perfect parent, but he's not a complete bastard either. Kind of like most parents.

Thank you! I think Sam is incredibly similar to John, and so they probably tended to clash, whereas Dean just knuckled under and accepted John's word as law. The dynamics of this family just fascinate me.
