Work is, as predicted, insane, but it is Friday, and I did manage to write a wee ficlet. It's much less angsty than my recent fics. Quite silly, in fact.

Gimmie a minute, I can't stop laughing!

Great fic! I absolutely adore John's ass kickin' boots, and Sam's decision to obey his father for once. Your Dean POV is perfect! It's a great mix of honest concern for his dad, and a self-depricating, slightly sarcastic sense of humor that had me giggling so hard I couldn't breathe. Fan-freakin'-tastic story!

Thanks. I fear Dean's sarcastic sense of humour may be my own - and apparently I've infected my eldest daughter. She may possibly be the most sarcastic nine year old on the planet *g*

I picture Dean as having a sarcastic sense of humor, so I'm happy you have one too. I tend to have a dry wit myself. *g* Gets me into trouble sometimes. Apparently my brain-to-mouth filter isn't always functioning. But hey, at least I didn't tell my dad with the ass-kicking-boots that he couldn't make me stay! *lol* That was another favorite moment of mine. Poor Dean and his out of body experience! I guess sometimes that supressed rebellious teenager rises up and takes control of the mouth.

Absolutely loved this! I like Dean's false bravado despite his dizziness and being so totally NOT ready to go on a hunt. That is so Dean - trying to put on a good face no matter what. And I like that his dad isn't falling for it one bit.

Sam was so bitchily wonderful too. The sarcasm was right on and I like how you noted that he got it from John. So true.

When Dean mouthed off that last time, I think my jaw dropped to the floor along with Sam's. And I love how there was a bit of "glee" mixed into Sam's look of horror. Because that's what I'd expect with those two boys. Sorry you're in trouble, but ha ha, glad it's not me type of thing. Excellent job on that. :)

I like how John handled the situation and that Dean didn't know what hit him until he was already cuffed to the bed. And Sam getting control of the key was priceless. I'm sure Sam's going to remind Dean that he shouldn't have brought up the 4th grade school picture now! Ha!

Thanks. I loved that Sam was so bitchy and disobedient, right up until Dean was in trouble, then he quite happily joined forces with John against Dean. Sibling love is a wonderful thing *g*

I think it would take a fever to get Dean to mouth off to John, and I love that he realises it's a terrible idea, but he can't stop himself from doing it.
