I'm alive. It's been a month since I've posted, although I've been trying to keep up with reading my flist. I can't remember a time when work has been so unrelentingly frantic. But I'm off work now for a week or so, and I managed to finish my long-overdue Sweet Charity fic.

I loved that Dean's dream in the episode focused so much on Dean and John's relationship - and I wanted to echo that in this fic, with Dean dreaming of letting John down.

Wow. This was one powerful, heartbreakingly lovely fic!! Each one of your stories is so unique and beautifully written in its own right. But this one....gah!!! Just incredible....

Thank you for being so very patient! I loved the idea of Sam moving out of his comfortable role as the protected little brother. But I couldn't get that final scene of 3.10 out of my head. It kept playing on my mind, what would happen if Dean was stuck in the dream world? What would Sam do to save him?

It was rotten of me, but I just couldn't bring myself to wake Dean up at the end. It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the story. Sorry for such unrelenting angst, but thank you for the prompt - which spurred me to write when the muse had deserted me!
