So, I've been trying desperately to work on my Asylum con fic - I have an idea, but I'm so exhausted with RL work I can barely string a coherent sentence together. And then the muse decided she wanted some Dean h/c. John POV. With added angst

I'm so glad to see a story from you. Your John and Dean relationship is one of my all-time favorite imaginings. I like the way your John sees Dean's vulnerabilities so clearly. I know that John probably didn't always take care not to hurt Dean or not to let him hurt himself, but your John sees the cost.

Thanks you! I'm very fond of the John and Dean relationship dynamic -it's so complicated. John isn't great at expressing how he's feeling, so it's fun to get into his head and explore his reactions to Dean being hurt.

OH! *clutches story to bosom* I love this. Dean's so messed up and John wants to help so bad even though it's awkward in more ways than one. And teen!Sam trying to help, too. *sigh* Perfect!

Thanks. I have such a thing for these awkward, stilted moments in their relationship. John wants to make things right, but he doesn't want to invade Dean's privacy. And Dean probably thinks if he shows weakness, John will be disappointed in him. Ah, the delicious angst *g*
