Should one trust or take seriously a dietician who says that a pickle can count as a vegetable?

I think of pickles (esp. dills) as a salt delivery system.

A tasty salt delivery system (especially the kosher full sours) but not what I would call a vegetable.

That particular gem is just the tip of the iceberg, but believe me, I'm not going back to that one, especially not for the joy of paying $50 for a half-hour of nothing but having the GI diet pushed on me, with no explanations, and definitely nothing helpful for a type 1 diabetic.

ugh.

heh... you crazy americans and your deep-fried things. :) reminds me of that thanksgiving episode of Gilmore Girls where Sookie's inlaws got a deepfryer thing for the turkey, and then proceeded to deep-fry everything.

Hehehe. Deep fried pickles are an interesting food. I can eat a couple then my stomach thinks it's the worst thing on the planet. ;)
