A Diamond in the Rough

Normally, the literature scrolled on bathroom walls is less than intellectual, and yet, today I ran across something in quite a different vein.
Written in pencil was: "Did you know that diamonds are so abundant that they could be sold for DIRT CHEAP?"

...that's so cool.

And it's true, by the way.

It's funny, just last night I was thinking about my favorite (albeit fictional) bathroom wall graffiti. I can't remember it exactly, but it's something along these lines:

Those who write on bathroom walls
Should roll their shit in little balls.
Whoever reads these lines of wit
Should eat those little balls of shit.

Aren't they holding them in some vault somewhere, making them seem rare?

I'm not really sure.
However, I do remember reading an article a few years back talking about artificially created diamonds. So if that technology takes off, then I guess that it would be a moot point.

Ahh well, diamonds aren't even forever. They just turn into pencil lead eventually =D

Diamonds...pencils of the future.
