Somehow I seem to expect my thoughts to be perfectly formed and internally consistent before I can express them. They rarely (if ever) are. On the other hand, neither are anyone else's.
I'm not the only one! : ) This affects me most when I'm upset/angry with someone. The emotion sends my thoughts scattering in a bunch of irrational directions and I try to collect them and make them sensible before talking. It's easier just to talk under other circumstances.
