i didn't have tissues with me so my sweatshirt and desk are both snot and tear covered, slippery messes.
and, because i'm crying so hard, my 12 year daughter, one of the TRUE meaningful things in my life, is scared and depressed because she cares that gay people have the right to marry same as anyone. she actually came in to tell me something from her book and after i explained why i was crying, she, herself, walked back out of the room crying and telling me that what she wanted to tell me meant nothing.
how can this be? how can people be so unfeeling towards one another? how can anyone even hold their heads up (the against gay marriage people) knowing that something like this makes a concientous 12 year old cry and contemplate whether things that make her happy in life are actually worth anything? it just kills me....
