I'm sorry that I said that we were just good friends

Got back from Las Vegas a couple Fridays ago, and my family (Uncle Joe, Aunt Nancy, and their spawn Josie and Bre) came to visit for a few days. They've been gone for a bit, but I've just now started feeling recuperated enough to make a post. Weddings and vacations wear me out. D:

We drove out to Vegas at night after my dad got off work. Here's a photo of a southern Utah sunset.

We were immediately put to work making party boxes for everyone to take home.

Oh, Breanna..

Josie.

Me, crosseyed.

Aunt Nancy doing the same pose.

We went to GameWorks down on the Strip. I wanted to play this game, but it was shut down. VIRTUAL BOWLING YA'LL!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in North Las Vegas (not on the Strip.. damn).

My Aunt Sue and Uncle Angel (Aunt Sue's daughter is the one who got married) took us up and down the street. This is like.. 1 in the morning down on Fremont Street on the Strip. We were all sooo exhausted, but that city stays open 24 hours. It's nuts.

The next day we went to a pool party at the MGM Grand. We had a couple cabanas rented. The weather was about 100 degrees, but the water was FUCKING FREEZING. D:

After swimming, we went to eat at the Rainforest Cafe (I think that's what it's called..). This is a view from the top of the stairs down at our table (kind of). As usual, we were the loudest ones in the whole restaurant. I wish I had recorded it, but everytime the lights dimmed and it was going to "storm" (like a simulation, sort of; lightning would zip across the ceiling and it would thunder and stuff) my Uncle Joe would shriek (like, in a very shrill voice; he'd had wwwaaayyy too much to drink and was pretty silly) like he was going to get struck by lightning. It was hilarious. XD

Ze Wedding! I don't know who that lady is, but she sang very well. For the wedding procession, my cousin's wife sang.. some opera song (I'd get my program thing, but I don't want to get up :/). She teaches at the Bosten College. I met her for the first time this trip. We didn't make it to the wedding (pushing 10 years now :-O) because my mom was sick, but I met her at the rehearsal dinner. WHAT A SWEETHEART! Her and my cousin are so cool. XD

This is the Groom (far left) and his brother, and then his business partner, Mesh.

She looked so lovely.

This is Mesh's wife. She read an essay about marriage. It was pretty cool. And she is unbelievably beautiful. *~jealous~*

The Newlyweds!!!

The family (from left to right): Sarah, Ian, Laura, John, Aunt Sue, Uncle Angel

Uncle Tom (Laura's dad, if you haven't noticed that she doesn't look much like Uncle Angel) and his wife (I can't remember her name..)

Mother of the bride

The groom's parents. His mom was a riot. She cut me in line at the bar and said, “I’m the mother of the groom, I’m allowed to do this.”

Wedding party. The little girl in red is my little cousin, Breanna.

My cousin, Ian, and his wife, Sarah. Sarah's the one who sang during the procession. Ian composes music. HOW AWESOME ARE THEY?!

Aunt Sue and Uncle Angel

Josie, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Joe, Marissa (what a ham), Mommy. Dad took the picture. I was at the bar.

Everyone again, + me. MARISSA, CUT OUT THE FACES >:O

Marissa enjoys a strawberry at our table.

The whole table.

Marissa again. She's growing up too fast. :'(

I love this picture. XD Aunt Nancy wasn't ready, I don't think.

Now she is..

Bre looks dazed..

Mommy and me

A panoramic view of the reception hall.

The next day we went to Hoover Dam.

I know everyone was like "ZOMFG, LOTS OF WATER AND CONCRETE" but I was a little bored.. If we had went whitewater rafting, that would be a different story.

Then we went to a children's museum the day after that and they had this tube thing where you get in and it provides an example of hurricane force winds (except it only went to about 70 mph; I guess they couldn't be blowing all the little kids around the tube. They'd probably get a lot of lawsuits). Here's a picture of Marissa in it:

A kaleidoscope thing. Idk, idk...

Back in Salt Lake City, we visited a park by my dad's house.

In my head all these sea gulls were saying, "Mine?? MINE?!"

Then we made a visit to Salt Lake City's Hogle Zoo. They had a white alligator -- not albino. This alligator had pigment in its eyes, just not its body. So it had a white body and blue eyes. How awesome is that? Other than it looked dead...

This monkey was pressing his face up against the fencing. The red part is his gums. We LOLed for quite a bit.

Snow leopard!

Ok, that was just a picture on the wall. The snow leopard was being boring..

My favorite part of the zoo is the giraffes. I love giraffes a lot.

Giraffe butt!!!

LOL, this was the kangaroo. You can't see too well, but he was sleeping on his back with his legs up in the air. We started laughing and he sat up and looked at us like, "Wtf, mate?" and then hobbled further off into the shade and layed back down again.

This was a cool bird.

DON'T AT THIS NEXT PICTURE KATIE!! SKIP A PICTURE OR A FEW!!

I love wolves, but Katie's afraid of them. I guess I'll have to hide all my wolf books when I move in in Pueblo. =/

OK, Katie, it's ok to look. :-)

Monkeyyyyy!

I love the meerkats, too.

This is a Red Panda. Google them. They're SO EFFING ADORABLE.

When we were leaving, we walked by the penguin enclosure and all the penguins were standing by the door like they were expecting to be let inside. We had a good laugh at that, too. XD

I found this online and it was toofuckingfunny not to share. WATCH IT. NOW.

Before we left for Las Vegas, I went and put in an application to Pikes Perk and the lady (MANAGER, hullo) told me she was going out of town for a couple of weeks so they were going to start doing interviews after that. I got home and there wasn't any messages on my answering machine, so I called them back and asked them when they were going to start interviews. The lady I talked to (the other manager, not the one I talked to first) said they had already hired two people for days and a person for night and they weren't looking for anyone else at that time.

BITCH GAVE AWAY MY JOB!!! DDDDDDD:::::::::

I haven't gotten any calls back from the places I put in applications. So I'm going to live with my dad for the summer. :'( I'll be back by August, though, since I'm going to move out of my family's house and into a place with my friend.
