1. Where and when did you start RPing?
...oh fuck I can't even remember really? I feel like I've been roleplaying forever. There have been instances where we ended up reminiscing about days of yore back when domain names were the IN thing, everyone was on blogger.com or like. Pitas. And mailing lists! Honestly, I think I've been roleplaying for as long as I've been on the Internet (which means since I was like... my god. 10? 12?) I'd have to say that my earliest roleplaying experience would be in those weirdass Yahoo! chatrooms. God I remember those. JAVA CHATS LOLOLOL. Go to the 'Arts and Entertainment' section and you'd look through chatroom names, and usually pop into stuff that's named like THE DARKE TAVERNE or some such crap. I was a total noob but also an actual girl on the Internet (?!) so I got asked for my bra size and taught about auto-hits and crap and you had to make more and more accounts just to get ridiculous names like Lord Darkfyrestalkerwind Chaosrune.
Jesus I was young.
After that things get blurry, so I believe I ended up joining some mailing list RPs (sci-fi / fantasy-oriented again!) and uh this Flame of Recca OC one. For the most part though, I was more fanfic-oriented in my early internet fandom days.
2. Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?

HARRY POTTER OC RP. Then I wandered between Livejournal and then I kind of semi-permanently moved to Greatestjournal in its heyday. That was primarily OC rp (...I think I was even in a smut OC rp once) and uh. Celeb.

3. Do you play in any public games?
Uh yes. I think the only non-public games I've played at are Amat right now and certain mailing lists and forums. Of course you had to be a member to read those.
Right now since I'm only at Amat no. I'd like to branch out of it again but so lazyinertiaaaa
4. Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
Sob until LJ multifandoms I was primarily playing through prose logging. Over AIM. AUGH GJ.
But even back when I was on GJ some of my best times were through commentspam. The... GJ set-up rarely lent itself to that because the format back then was to write some long tl;dr thoughtful entry about life, memories, some other random related bullshit.
Oh OC games.
But when I ran my own game, definitely the interaction leaned to comment-spamming. Oh The Factory RP and Sedgwick. How I miss you.
5. What was the first character you ever played?

6. Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
Oh sob why are you getting me started on this. Hitagi definitely because she is just such an amazing character and it's always such a fun process trying to come up with her most IC but also most unexpected reaction to things.
However if you look back on my previously played character list... one name jumps out as having been apped a lot. Seth orz I guess no matter how try I really feel like I've never fully written all the potential she has as a character.
Other times I wander between characters, like some of the easiest voices for me to slip into other than Seth and Hitagi would be... Bossun and Shawn Spencer. orz my life what are you.
7. What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
........idk how long did I have Bossun? Bossun probably! And maybe Hitagi now. I have a piss-poor character retention track record.
8. What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
ummmm idk. OH WAIT I DO. When OOC influences IC stuff? None of that blurring of OOC wank but it's like... okay I love crack but sometimes I think the crack is just like THE MUNS WANT TO DO IT I WILL STICK MY CHARACTER WITH SO AND SO FOR THIS EVENT WITHOUT RHYME OR REASON. Like I love crack I do! But at least try to develop it or something or write it so it has consistency with your character. I need dinner.
I will elaborate on this if asked? I'm not explaining it very well.
9. Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
L-lol I'm a low-profile ninjamod of RPS? I don't really have the time to follow anon meme while it's going on so most of the time I look at threads I'm specifically linked to. But a month after if I had free time? I'd page through. So fucking huge though.
10. If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
UH. I don't have a preference. Community-based is good for recycling journals, tracking activity etc. etc. but I guess it's a leftover from my GJ days that I also enjoy keeping my shit in my character's journal. Oh if you could see what I see in my character accounts. The private-locked crap there.
11. Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
I'd play with both, I don't care. Yes that's not the question.
12. Do you have a "RP partner"?
Nope! Sometimes I wish I had one? I'm a little envious of the idea of having someone with whom you have fantastic writing chemistry with and the kind of output I see from my friends who do have partners is pretty amazing. But at the same time, I think I'm too capricious a player and writer to keep up a relationship like that. And tbh those seem very pairing-oriented to me and while I have pairings... I'm not sure I like playing in a vacuum? I'd want the larger and more dynamic context of a game otherwise I'd probably get bored.
13. Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
HOW DO PEOPLE HAVE THE TIME. EVEN BEFORE I HAD WORK I JUST. I DON'T.
I'm selfish and conceited and the only people I follow would be my castmates and characters mine had CR with which necessitates stalking...
And generally I love reading the stuff of my friends and writers I look up to. I say writers not players in this case because oh I am gay for language.
14. In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
HISTORY. FUCK THAT SHIT. I think the main reason why I won't budge from Amat is because I can link out for the history BECAUSE FUCK ITTTTT. I rehash the history in the personality section anyway.
I tl;dr on personality and third person and my rule of thumb is that I won't app someone if the first thing I write for their app isn't the first person. No voice, no love.
15. Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
Um. Sometimes? Default layouts are kinda fug. and uh userinfo gay is also spillover from GJ days...

This will change on any given day but I've been on a Rivetama nostalgia ride so uh. THIS ONE. Eeeeee rivetama I love you so. Also it had fainn's Hijikata.

Lol I've written sex scenes before but not for LJ multifandoms no.

Not that I've noticed. It just has to do with the canon that I'm feeling I guess?

Oh! I think I've only ever played in one letsfightingruv and that was just to mess around with the Rivetama crew. Fun.

Canon? Yes. Very rarely though. Veronica Mars and Logan Echolls back in GJ and um. I guess now Hitagi and Araragi? Crossover or non-canon... zilch so far for LJ multifandoms. :)

25. Talking RP with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
DELICIOUS FUN. Well if it were someone I really looked up to for how they play the character I'd be hella intimidated and be like dlkfjaslkdjf but at the same time, it'd be awesome? I really enjoy hashing our characterization opinions and details like C.C. stuff with Qing. I get askdfasjdfh when I see other people playing the same characters that I do because I tend to go for the obscure so it's part excitement and part OH NO. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.
...and sometimes they have my icons =_= please stop doing that if I tagged them with my username that means I made them specifically for the character's account. they are ugly. why do you want themmmm. and some of them are gifts from people. and really THEY AREN'T POSTED ANYWHERE SO HOW DID YOU EVEN FIND THEM. DOES THIS MEAN YOU LOOK AT MY JOURNAL? NOOOOO DON'T LOOK AT MEEEEEEE I'M DIRTY.

So there's a mix of territoriality there but I know that for the fail it is. Also I do believe that everyone brings something different to how they play a character and that'd be fascinating to read... when I'm not playing the character anymore so I can't like. Allow my portrayal to be influenced lololol srs bznz.
Of course there are days when I get all NO BUT I USED TO BE THE ONLY _____ ON LJ (THAT I KNEW OF!) so at least I don't get caught up in the weird race to be THE BEST ______ ON LJ (THAT PEOPLE KNOW OF)
