It wasn't exactly what I imagined. It was way more. You found a way to take a, well, pretty cliched and dumb prompt, and turned it into something inspired. I loved the relationships running through the fic -- I loved the Roy/Ed, of course, but I also loved Al's presence, and the little references to the future. This isn't just a fic, i's a key to unlcok a whole universe of its own. And the wings, and the automail, are just beautiful.

<3 I agree with the other comments, basically. This is a beautiful fic, and the twist for how Ed acquired his "wings" was particularly clever; nice plotty element you made there. I like the situation and well, overall, the story just has a very pretty, subdued feeling to it, and the "epiphany" at the end made it feel like a great Christmas miracle story, so it works splendidly for Elricmas! Much thanks to you for sharing.

This is amazing. Honestly, I had expected cliched fluff, but whoever you are, you took this prompt and turned it into something more. And Roy's last line at the end slasy me :)
