Wire in the Blood 'verse

Hakuba Saguru is the grandson of Edward Elric. He's known about the vague possibility of alchemy being real from a young age - not to mention the theory behind it, especially the rule of Equivalent Exchange. Events of WitB occur since someone's apparently doing the impossible - they're actually using alchemy, real alchemy. And not just that, it's basically exploding people from the inside out. Not very pretty at all. So Hakuba calls himself in to investigate, being nearby when one of these things takes place, and investigates. Naturally, Kaito was nearby as well (staking out a heist site) and he joins in. Hakuba realises that Alchemy was involved, experiments in front of Kaito, and then goes off to call his grandfather, the Fullmetal Alchemist. At the moment, they're supposed to be going to the airport to meet up with Edward Elric. That's around the time which Hakuba's abducted by the community/mansion.
Needless to say, he's Not Happy.
