Take it for what you will. I thought the only people that bought those were rednecks and incredibly zealous college supporters.

it seems my life has been reduced to school, sleep, and trips to the "fitness center."

i get antsy.

I'm always surprised what people think about me because of how I'm dressed.

Last night a friend of a friend said she was sure I liked good music because of my garb.

Next time this happens I'm going to exclaim my glee about an upcoming Brooke Hogan album.

I want a Colts-Giants Superbowl, and I want the Colts to win. It's not because I like either team, or think Peyton's a better player than Eli, it's just that sometimes a big brother needs to remind a little brother that he's still just a little brother.

It seems funny that after nearly a month of student teaching I was not able to sleep last night. I think it had a lot to do with it being a new week and the start of my first lead teaching segment ( Read more... )

it's been a harrowing couple weeks...

but now it's time to get busy. i am officially a student teacher at haslett high school. right now all this means is boring meetings and planning for when i actually get students--next tuesday.

i can't wait to start teaching.

Over the past few days, this is the succession of texts I've gotten:

[Former teammate] got in a motorcycle accident and he's in the icu now.

He has a crushed rib cage. Surprisingly the accident wasn't his fault.

[He's] got a few infections and he's still on all the machines, but he says as of now things are looking up.

Google Street View is incredibly scary/cool.

I just looked up directions to a bar in Lansing, and on a whim, clicked the street view of my address. It was taken in the fall. I'm guessing sometime around Thanksgiving because Daniel's car is in the driveway and the garage door is closed. Creepy.
