Enough time to watch two episodes.
Episode 7 opens with the infiltration of Festung Iserlohn. The entire episode is practically a commando misssion for the Rosen-Ritter, as they take over the foretress from the inside.
The entire episode highlights that all war is based on deception: bluffs and quick thinking rule the day as Yang's 13th fleet takes over Iserlohn. It climaxes with the Yang's fleet using the fortresses' incredible magnetic cannon Thor Hammer on the enemy fleet.
In the end, though Yang wishes to resign after the battle of Iserlohn, he is forced to acknowledge that he is still needed by the Free Planets Alliance.
Episode 8 opens with a historical review of the universe from the establishment of the space colonies and the Galactic Empire and to the current war up to the capture of Iserlohn. The POV shifts from last eps Alliance side to the Empire; showing the response of the Empire's military.
The episode is more about politics and backroom deals than battle. It also provides more light on Reinhard's motivations to bring down the corrupt empire from inside. Also more character development for quite a few characters.
LoGH is really engaging with all the history and the beauty of charactre. I'll be watching more next week.
