Chinese exam and Grail final paper are done. Final Politics research paper and Chinese Art History exam to go. Plus the two make-up essays. And I have to pack up my room. In the next four days. *die* But, putting me in a time crunch sure makes me get shit done.

I spent 20 hours in two days doing Chinese assignments, and it worked out pretty well. ( Read more... )

1. You'll be lucky to get any job, with this employment climate. We all will.

2. You bought a car when you don't even have a license?

1. Thanks, that's really encouraging... =P I feel like I could manage to get something. Just might not be glamorous. (I almost considered investing in bartending school, but it's a lot of tuition that would take a while to earn back, and I could only be a bartender this summer and then not again until senior year, because Oregon sucks like that. Plus I'm trying to avoid working late nights.)

2. Jordan and I bought it, and I can drive it when he's in the car too... But considering I don't like to drive anyways, it's mostly his car. And getting my license is #1 priority when I get back. Well, and perhaps a job too.

I just feel like even getting what you consider a "crappy" job would be a major score, since the unemployment rate in MN is something like 8.5%. There are a lot of people who would absolutely love a job you would only deign to get "stuck with".

Do you know where you're taking your license test yet?

I dunno, craigslist still tells me there are a few server, babysitting, random jobs, etc. out there. I'm not saying it will be easy to find a job, considering those jobs still out there have a lot more competition, but I don't feel like it's as impossible as you say. Then again, I suppose we'll see.

I can't even drive yet, so no, I don't know where I'm taking my test yet. Any suggestions/reviews?

There will be a lot of jobs out there for college students coming back, you know, to fill the ones for the people who are leaving. Many employers agree to keep the person going home for summer on for when they come back so they won't hire anyone but another college student who will just be back for the summer and leave again in the fall when the first student comes back again. That's a nice system.
