Thanks for posting this wonderful fic. I'm afraid I don't know anything about the Korean revolution, but you evoked the characters and atmosphere in a way that really drew me in. And I love your genderbent Grantaire and Enjolras. They feel very much "in character," but with extra (or at least different) complexities because they are women trying to take part in politics. I like how Hyi Me is cynical about men and their sexism, but at the same time she believes that Yoon Hwa could march in and magically get the same men to take her seriously!

Oh Rose, thank you! I...blame Hye Mi for pulling me into ficcing for Les Mis, honestly, I was just noodling around with thought experiments until she grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I'm glad the thought experiment works for you!

(Yoon Hwa is preternaturally charismatic and convincing, but - as per canon - is also notably sexless; which, when genderbent, takes on a different weight in terms of being taken seriously as a woman in the public sphere...)
