No memorable male characters? What about Delos D. Harriman? Or 'Noisy' Rhysling? Or Johnnie Rico? Or Michael Valentine Smith and Jubal Harshaw? Or the Stone twins?

And no, I do not wish to read Space Family Stone twincest slashfic.

Well they clearly weren't memorable since I didnt remember them!

But seriously they aren't characters, they're protagonists. I could name them but do i remember them as unique individuals ? no. Or in MVS's case, possibly symbols. Heinlein has two basic models - keen plucky handy bright boy who needs experience; and grown up said boy, who can now do anything while making an omelette and shagging his mum. ie L Long. (there are also drippy liberal losers - but they don;'t get to be the heroes :)

In many ways the character I remember best from Heinlein is the computer Mycroft in the Mars revolution book :-)
