Escape velocity.

Colonel Parker's crew of fools has been subjugated, and now Doom strides through the corridors, leading this motley assortment of fodder and strategically concealing the group from prying security eyes.

"Grimm," Doom says, in a condescending tone. "Do you have an adequate craft, or shall I summon my own?"

"If you've been preparing for this as long as you say, your craft will probably get there with less attention. I'll stay outside til we hit the upper atmosphere to help provide cover. Be sure and let me in - you'll want me on Galactus' ship." she says, with a hint of warning.

Doom slides an eye toward the whelp.

"My craft will take time to access. Time I am led to believe we may not have to spare."

"We don't have a lot of time... General Grimm, do we have a craft available? Either way, I'll fly support til we hit the upper atmosphere. I doubt we've seen the end of the resistance we'll deal with."

"Come here. We can't have you popping a lung while you're in flight."

Raven wraps her hands around Sarah's ribcage. Her fingers stretch, meeting on the opposite side. She closes her eyes and concentrates. Feels like quite a few broken in there. Between pressure and a slightly modified phlegm glue, she tapes them in place.

As an afterthought, she tints her skin green to match the girl's clothes.

Her hands appear to pull away from what looks like a seamless leather bandage wrapping Sarah's ribcage.

"Damn. I'm hungry."

The hangar bay is a large facility constructed on a long artificial extension on the south end of the island. It has wide, open doors and a retractable roof, currently in the open position.

Unfortunately, the path leading to the hangar is fairly devoid of cover, and the sudden closing-off of the doors behind them are the first clue for the Exiles that SHIELD isn't quite done with them.

Elsewhere, a single radio communique is given.

//Seal the corridors shut behind them, and lock down the vent shafts. The Excel Squadron can handle them once they're in the open.//

"Shocking hell, WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE YOUR SHOCKIN' WORLD!" Spider-Man barks the instant the doors jerk closed behind them. He crouches down and gets into a defensive position.

Doom continues to stride forward, his sensors having picked up the location of this... Fantasticar.

Doom shall not be impeded.

Mystique shifts into a duplicate of Sarah. She stares at the hangar door, waiting to see what their attackers will look like next.

God, she wants a cigarette.

Sarah throws Mjolnir at this Gallo person, trying to keep the heavy hitter off her group, as usual, at least until they've engaged so she can try and put her plan into action, surprised that there wasn't actually any disagreement.

Special Agent Gallo, codenamed Ricochet, is a mutant. Highly enhanced agility and moderately enhanced strength, limited spatial awareness, and a reflexive form of precognition, identical to Parker's lot. He's a little disappointed he doesn't get a chance to go after the other spider-type, but he's already flinging himself at Dusk.

Once he sees a flying stone hammer coming at him, however, he realizes he's got other concerns. He bails off his glider, switching it to auto-pilot, bounding to the ceiling and then towards the floor again. He reaches for a disc off of each sleeve, hurling them towards Sarah. They bounce off the floor once, then explode into flashbangs, as he bounds over her. "Y'know, normally I like being the prettiest one in a fight, but I'm finding it hard to care right now."

"You talk too much Gallo."

Special Agent Gilmore, codenamed Prodigy, is in the minority of the Excel Squadron, not having any powers without his suit, but has faced every form of unarmed combat SHIELD training can offer, which is quite a lot. And he DOES have his suit at the moment. A suit that makes him strong enough to hold up most of a collapsing building.

Glad that the shield-toter apparently mistook who the lieutenant was talking to, he seizes the opening. As the flashbangs go off, he rushes forward at top speed on his glider, swinging his fist in with a staggering hook to the gut. His strength, while high level, isn't Hulk-level, but they got the word on where their opponents were already injured.

Suddenly blinded, Sarah shifts back to her father's training quickly, feigning being rendered helpless, she brings the shield up to ward off immediate attack.
Spider agility... damnit.

When she feels him bounding over her, she turns, slamming a fist into the concrete ground to make his landing point uneven and harder to maneuver on, only to get hit in the back, right in the ribcage before she can make her follow up attack. She stumbles forward, then drops, raising the shield and listening for the glider engines as she shifts her thinking and tactics for a two on one.

He finally gets a clear shot from under cover, and opens fire at Phil.

Phil grunts in frustration as the first of the stun bolts tags his left arm, but he manages to pull up the glider as a shield against the rest of them. Not a tactic he can use indefinitely, but beggars can't be choosers.

He really wanted to pull Grimm out of the crossfire first, but apparently he can't afford that luxury. Fighting against the numbness in his arm, he manages to hit a switch on his left glove's palm, launching a shower of pumpkin bombs from the glider towards Patriot, and hurling a blade with his still good throwing arm towards his best escape route.

Patriot feints towards the obvious escape route but instead ducks under the small ship he's hiding behind... then, using the shadows and the angles where Phil can't see, he rolls under another vehicle.

Let him check out the wrong one.

As soon as he realized he couldn't see his opponent, Phil knew he was in danger. One of the lessons Grimm had drilled into him in officer school flashed through his mind. If you don't know where they are, don't give 'em anywhere to be.

Damning the consequences, Phil let loose with another piercing blast of laughter, and made a strafing run straight across the line of Exiles, pumpkin bombs falling from both his hurls and from the glider itself. There were no weapon stores in the hangar currently, so he gave no heed to any of the supplies or vehicles. He veered back towards the far end of the hangar, where the rest of the squadron was still circling, advancing slowly. There was no need to take the fight to them every moment. By fighting them, this group of misfits was giving them exactly what they wanted. Time to wait for bigger guns to show up.

"St Commons. Bring on the dark."

Spider-Man has launched himself feet-first at the 'all-in-black' person, just in case it's another symbiote mess that needs to be beaten down.

Special Agent St Commons, codenamed 'Dusk', is one of SHIELD's more volatile and unusual metas. Potentially immortal, and spiritually bonded to an extradimensional suit (that may or may not be sentient) with a host of not-quite-demonic powers.

She's also borderline insane.
But that suited Urich just fine, and she'd been recruited into the Excel Squadron.

As both the spider-thing and the squishy thing close in on her, her voice doesn't come from her body, but seemingly from everywhere. Don't want to hurt you.

Reality flickers for the spider-thing, as in the moment he touches her, they vanish, reappearing in the same second behind the squishy thing, Dusk floating upwards and over the spider-thing, as his momentum carries him still towards the squishy thing.

"Oh, no you don't!"

The stalking Terminator reveals an extra pair of eyes in the back of his head, just before he shifts into the form of a trampoline, so Spidey can get a good bounce.

"I don't want to be that close to Spidey, I'm on the rebound from a bad relationship!"

If he wasn't still brimming with Venom anger, Spidey might comment on the horrendousness of that pun.

For now, he's just grateful that he is what he is, and he tries to angle his bounce to spring back up and figure out what the shock just happened there.

"The black thing teleports! I think!"
