Poor Annie. She finally gets to a point where she starts to let go and Jeff shows up and throws a wrench into the works. As much as I want Jeff and Annie to be together, I was hoping she would succeed in seducing Sergio - girlfriend needs to get her groove back. I would say that it looks like that isn't going to happen, but with this fic, I've learned to take nothing for granted. :-)

And Jeff. What exactly was his plan? Beyond keeping Rich and Annie apart? I fear he hasn't really thought that one through exactly. Or at least he hasn't reached a point where he's ready to be with her. I read in one of your comments to another chapter that you have this story plotted out to wrap up in August, assuming you maintain the same posting frequency. That's a ways to go yet, so I'm guessing Jeff's still got some growing to do. :-)

I'm very intrigued by what's going to happen next, now that they're together in Italy. Well done!

Thank you so much for the lovely eloquent words! Annie really needs someone who will pay attention to her. Appreciate her. And Jeff needs to figure out what the hell he wants. I wanted to make it clear in Annie's head that her wanting to sleep with Sergio was not based entirely on Jeff. It would seem kind of horrible for her to hook up with someone because of Jeff and how he feels about her.

Gasp! Wow, you have cornered the market on surprise endings and cliffhangers. Sorry I haven't commented yet, this is part of my de-lurking campaign of actually commenting on the fics I like. Good for Annie, getting her game on, slapping Jeff, well deservedly. I did not expect Jeff to show up... but I like it. Can't wait to see what happens next, Jeff needs to redeem himself in a big way.

I'm trying to have the biggest number of shocking endings in one fic. I wouldn't have been able to write much more with them apart. I wanted to get him there sooner, but I was slow playing it. Annie had to be comfortable and happy before Jeff showed up and ruined everything :)

The image of Annie dancing with Rich and Sergio is beautiful; I could hear the italian guitar playing in the background you wrote it so well.
Annie slapping Jeff is possibly my favourite thing so far and I swear I have a new favourite moment every chapter.

I didn't plan to have her slap him, but when I was writing it, she was really freaked out and upset and it just happened. I thought afterward that it was too melodramatic, but kept it in. So I'm glad you liked it.

Oh Jeff...you are so predictable! How could Annie not know you would off to save her from "evil" Rich once he heard that he was there. Of course that is why we love Annie she has no clue how much power she has over Jeff.
