Fashiony is good! Just wish I knew what the bloody dress looks like although you did a great job descriptively that I was able to imagine it all in my head anyways.

And I'm doing a great job imagining Jeff's eyes popping out his skull and his jaw hitting the ground when he sees her. I hope that Annie gets her wish and it's the thing to prompt him into action.

Is it wrong that I want to be invited to this party? I have my own Angelina cocktail dress hanging in the wardrobe that's just dying to get another airing sometime this year. Poor thing feels neglected... :)

The Rocketeer! That is a dress! Annie could totally rock that.

I was about to ask if you had a specific dress in mind, or if the description just came from your imagination. Annie could definitely wear that dress, it's very well suited to her (though I have to say, if Marco knew about Annie's performance in paintball, he might have revised his Angelina Jolie comment ( ... )

I wish they would let Britta and Annie really be friends on the show, too. They have such an interesting dynamic. It doesn't always have to be about Jeff.

Every time I read a chapter, I keep thinking there's still a long way to go. But we're nearly at the end of July, so there can't be much more and I'm wondering if I should start bracing myself for the explosion ahead. I'll keep telling myself it's going to get worse before it gets better, but I think I still need to do a little extra to prepare myself, if your comments are anything to go by. :-)

Also, I'm on vacation next week, so I'll be missing the next chapter or two you'll be posting. :-( It will give me something to look forward to upon my return, but you won't be getting any of my feedback. You're already broken-hearted, I know! ;-)

<3 the whole conversation with Britta, especially Annie's "I'm not a negative person" speech. In most of what we've seen from her, Annie is totally unapologetic about who she is, even when she's having trouble trying to figure out who THAT is exactly. Which is why it bothered me in the S1 finale that she suddenly decided she wanted to "live in the moment" (I blame Vaughn for that) and in the S2 oil fight that she said she kissed Jeff because she wanted to be cool like Britta (I blame Jeff for that). I much prefer her when she's telling Britta "that's me" when they're fighting about whoring out their gender or researching Corpus Christi on the way to the bar.

This patented-Shanleigh-off-topic-rant is my way of saying that your version of Annie in this chapter, especially, is streets ahead to meeee.

So thanks to gmail, I got to see what you said even though it got deleted before I got home. HERE IT IS.

"Streets ahead! Ooh, that is verbal wildfire!

I feel like Annie is at an age where there are things she is not going to be sure on or hasn't made up her mind. But I think she can look at someone like Britta and envy certain parts and know that she doesn't really like certain parts.

Thanks for reading!

...And I live in a house where there's an oversized dictionary that I read as a girl on the toilet."

And what I have to say back is:

As someone fresh out of college, I can definitely agree that a big part of breaking out on your own and finding who you are/want to be is learning about the things you do and don't like about the people surrounding you. Mostly what you don't like. For me, anyway.

Also, my friend the dictionary is a very reliable friend.

Loved the Rocketeer, so underrated.

Is the middle eastern magic 8 ball Abed doing his prediction thing again by making a movie about Jeff and Annie in Italy and filming what's about to happen at the party? Is Britta playing a drunk Camille?

Pierce is actually in Italy isn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if he's actually the one behind the party and not Camille.

Oh you left it there!!! I should have known! Is Abed doing something like he did in S1 with "predicting" future in his films? Hmmm Can't wait to read Jeff's reaction to Annie!
