I see Pierce is still in string pulling mode. Apparently not even major surgery slows him down. lol

Oh, to be a fly on the wall of that conversation. Since this chapter ended with Jeff going back into Pierce's room, is it safe to assume we'll find out what transpired in the next chapter? Also, what of the envelope Camilla gave to Jeff? I'm dying to find out the contents.

I loved the exchange with Troy. There was a real kinship between them here, both in love with damaged people who are nearly impossible to reach. And I felt the tension and pain when they witnessed Jeff and Britta arguing. Jeff and Britta are a complete disaster together, and yet they do have history and that has to hurt. A terrific moment there.

It would never be something that she could handle, the idea of Jeff being friends with Britta.That line broke my heart. Because if Annie really believes that, they don't have a chance. But I'm choosing to believe it's her exhaustion and the stress of the situation affecting her state of

Pierce is a little slower, but not enough that he is going to let some invasive surgery get in the way of his scheming. He's got too many balls in the air to take a break now.

Yes, the next chapter is inside the hospital room with Jeff and Pierce. And they are going to have it out as much as they are able without either of them dying.

I feel like Troy and Annie really are in the same boat a lot of the time, which is why they don't work as a couple. Like Jeff and Britta, they are too alike for anything to be that interesting between them.

Basically everything that you write is more insight than I give to things and you're always right. There. I finally said it. I feel a lot better now.

Please please please make dirty jokes all the time for me? They are endlessly entertaining. Seriously. I'm still giggling. Because I'm ten.

Probably the most short pain filled chapter I've read in the entire series. With annies paranoia with jeff & britta argung & jeff looking like he want to rip pierces head off. The word tension maybe the understatment, this feels like an emotional bomb goes off for one of them. Lot of questions that annie seemed to catch up with the audience has, abeds film & peirce with the plane ticket mindgames with jeff. Stakes have never been higher. Can't wait to see these answers. Great job as usual.

If you think this is pain-filled, you have got a rough time ahead. I think I'm going to do the rest of the chapters like a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' series, where you guys decide what happens. I'm tired and don't really want to answer any questions. I'll have to give this more thought. I think it's a pretty good idea.
