Last Ten

I've not been as interested in minding my webholes lately. Instead I've found more interest in performing work and playing my latest favorite game, Blood Divide. Anyway...

In an effort to share some fun, here are the top ten tracks on my current listening trends, all linked to the Last FM track listings. Just enjoy (especially track #10).

Heh! Didn't think you'd like "Modest Mouse". I really like them. I've seen then live a few times now. For some reason I've always liked them way back in the day (late 90s), along with "Deathcab for Cutie" and "Ugly Casanova". Funny and odd, I used to listen to them while I was on that mirc chat with you a long long time ago! Ah, memories!

[waves] Hello Brent. :)

Well, to be totally honest, I'm not a big fan of the Modest Mouse; they have a few okay tracks, but their tendency to go too far into the "wailing rock" vein sort of turns me off their typical style. My opinion is that "World at Large" is their best song, most everything else I could do without.

That said, I do recognize their fair level of skill and talents. While it may not be my cup of tea, they certainly possess more skill than many of their contemporaries and current day "musicians". My Lover Mandy quite likes them, having been exposed to them as a sort of local tour de force during her high school years. So, regardless of my opinion, you're in good company to be sure.

Anyway, good to get a hello, dear. Hope all is well with you.

I tried to send this as a message, but your privacy options don't allow it.

I saw your name in the respondent list of my poll about the russian bots.
You're Brent Elskan, a JMOC member, who used to play RavenBlack's Vampires right? Rhetorical question, I already googled you.
(That much was memory, but google reminded me of #714 and Andronicus)

I remember you, but I think your only interaction with me was an email you replied to after I took your JMOC quiz, on December 31, 2003.
If you keep your emails, it's from --- nevermind the address since this is now a comment, you'll find the text "LOLLLZZZZ" in the email ;)

But hi!
I still use your RB city map, glad I could help with info about the bots.

Wow, that's a completely nostalgic ride. Thank you for the reply so I could make that connection. Yeah, you know, Andronicus... In fact, I haven't logged into that for ages. I should do that now, perhaps. Well, after replying, anyway ( ... )

Ah, I noticed you were lost in shadow ;)

That is a little coincidence about the email address. It was the xmission address, and mine was a .cjb.net address. I could just forward them to you if you were that interested.
I noticed devilmiyu there, I just assumed you always talked.

Not lost in shadow at the moment - went and used my AP last night.

Ah, drat. The xmission account is long since lost to me. I wondered if maybe that was why I couldn't find it. I do have some curiosity, though, so yeah, sure; forward on. brent.elskan {at} gmail.com. I'd be curious to see how big an asshole I'd become by that point.

Miyu and I bump toward each other here and there, at random. I believe we have a special fondness for one another, but I'm not all that good at staying in touch. We just take it when and where we happen to find it I suppose.

In any event, cheers again for your poll and for saying hello in this little web of ours. I'll have to make some time to peruse your entries when I can. Adieu.
