Finally, something which makes me (fairly) rare and unique and all that! See, I was born with six toes on each foot, as was my mum; she had an extra baby toe, I had two big toes joined together. Interesting "syndrome." I'm married to someone with a quite rare one myself and find these things fascinating.

5th October, all dependent on whether I can go full term, or whether the baby needs out sooner because of its size. Hope I can go full term - I'd prefer to deliver naturally, specially if it means getting in the ace birth pool at the hospital, rather than having a c-section. I mean, I'm not daft, I know that it might not ultimately be my decision to make, but, y'know...

Interesting. My baby (delivered by 'semi-elective' C-section) has an extra thumb on his left hand. It is joined to the main thumb until the top joint, which is separate. The plastic surgeons are planning to operate when he's about a year old.

Good luck getting your natural water birth.
