The doctor says while the cancer is an aggressive type, he believes it to be potentially curable. His recommendation is radical prostectomy via robotic surgery but he also wants us to see a radiotherapy oncologist for a second opinion. He believes the cancer is confined to the lower portion of the prostate with no evidence of metastasis at this time. While he advises that we do not proceed with our Arctic Circle cruise in August, he sees no reason why we can't spend next week with the kids and grandkids at the beach then proceed with surgery early in August.
