Has anyone else been affected by the untimely eruption of the volcano? I was planning on going to China for Golden Week, and meeting my parents there (who will be flying from UK) this coming Friday, but it doesn't seem likely that the ban on flights from UK across Europe will lift any time soon. It's so surreal - one normally doesn't expect a volcano to blow and alter your plans, lol!

The cloud is just sitting there and they've no idea when it'll clear. Half my family are stuck in Europe and Egypt so yeah...I would maybe start making some backup arrangements.
