Hijikata Toshizo (Shinsengumi)

To celebrate season 2 of Hakuouki that's coming out in a week (anyone following this anime?), I thought I'd draw Hijikata Toshizo, the deputy leader of the Shinsengumi Corps during Bakumatsu, Japan.

Oh wow, this takes my back (I was big into Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker, so different story same people, I actually enjoy Shinsengumi stories) I lvoe the perspective on this, looking up from this blood red flowers really works. And he's got a real presence to him!

Thanks so much! Hijikata is one of my favourite characters (well, he's a very close second to Okita Souji) so it was really fun drawing him.
