After a long day of research and writing, I'm relaxing to a bit of the 1993 The Three Musketeers, my very favorite guilty-pleasures movie of all time. Andy likes it far more than he's ready to admit at this point. After five or six more viewings, he'll be prepared to embrace it for the masterpiece that it is. ah-hah! i knew it. my suspicions were correct, hehe.

your mentioning of Rufio reminded me. i saw "take the lead" at the movies last week, and i suspected one of the main characters was the same young man who played Rufio all those years ago. i looked it up just now, and as it turns out, he was (Dante Basco).

anyhow, Rufio was one of those characters i never forgot from Hook from when i was little :)

I think Rufio probably influenced a whole generation of children. All one needs to say is "Rufio," and a ton of memories come back.

Ha! I actually still have the very videotape you and Ann watched. I watch it too sometimes...teehee. I love how completely different it is from the book (the Duke of Buckingham completely eradicated?!)
