I set out to discover books and movies filled with passion: passion in romance, that restrained, bubbling right below the surface kind, sometimes - but not always - ending unhappily, as well as the more obvious, unbridled variety. And passion for something, not necessarily in a romantic sense (see Master and Commander).
And, with much help from all of you, I'm sharing here some books and movies (and music!) that promise passion that actually exists!*
