Things I figured out this week

1. If you give long essay tests to 156 students you have to grade 156 long essay tests. This is why multiple choice was invented. What on earth was I thinking? Now I have to read 156 essay tests comparing different styles of Anglo-Saxon poetry. I think I’ll just give the long ones A’s and the ones that start with “because” D’s. Is that wrong

3. Don’t drink the extra large cup of coffee when you have to teach four classes in a row. This is especially true when the teacher’s bathroom is four corridors away.

Yeah....I never understood why there wasn't more thought put to this. My friend AC taught 2nd grade for 3 years and would tell me that there were days she couldn't go for the longest time because an aide wasn't there and no one was available to come to her room.

Maybe I am soft but my concentration starts going down FAST when nature is calling and I can't deal with it.
