Yesterday I woke up feeling terrible, but I just couldn't justify calling in sick. There was a time when if I had even the smallest cold I'd call in and rest, but teaching is different somehow. The kids always take a day to get back into the program after I'm out, and I feel insane guilt about leaving them (which is crazy, I know). So, I went to

Perhaps, and I know that it's not easy to do (I've been feeling guilty all season), you could skip the Christmas cards this year? Or send them out after Christmas, when your crush is over? Or at least scale back the list to people you HAVE TO send a card. Take that time and do something relaxing and pleasant, just for you, instead.
