The weasel sleeps right next to me, face turned toward me... Sometimes his head rests on the crook of my elbow, sometimes on the bed itself... But we are always touching somehow, and my arm, when not his "pillow", goes over and around his head so my arm keeps him from wiggling/thrashing away. The body pillow is in the middle of the bed so that Nin doesn't roll over onto him.

Is it ideal? Sometimes, not always. I do like sleeping alone occasionally, but waking up next to my baby and nuzzling his fuzzy head, well, there's nothing like it.

And to think, I was gonna be all bad-ass and stick him in the crib all the time, no way was he gonna sleep in bed with me. What a joke. Ha! I think it benefits us both. I sleep better, and he feels safe. And he can start the night out in his bassinet, by himself, and sometimes he goes back into it, too... So I know it can be done.

Everyone's gotta do what's the best for themselves. Me, I like huffing baby in my sleep, I guess!
