On the other hand, don't smell my feet. Been on them all day and now I've been on my butt for about three hours thanks to an online test that sucked. Needless to say I'm a few hairs poorer and my blood pressure needs to cool down. Meister is avoiding me like the plague until I calm down, poor dear. I looked up both Cornelia Funke and The Princess Bride in OCLC's WorldCat [via my St. John's Uni account]. It didn't allow me to view the MARC records, though... so I couldn't see if Cornelia Caroline Funke is the author's actual name or if it's just a pseudonim [like Lemony Snicket]. I checked the Mark Twain records to see if they included a "See Also Samuel Clements" note... but they didn't. So I'm going to assume alternate author names aren't included at all. :-(

Now... The Princess Bride. OCLC lists the complete title as: The princess bride: S. Morgenstern's classic tale of true love and high adventure. The "good parts" version, abridged by William Goldman. This was the only version of the title available, so I'm going to tentatively guess that it's all meant in good fun. :-) There never was a "complete" version, and "S. Morgenstern" and the "copyright holder" are simply part of the story/book. It's sort of like those Goblin books, where the author write bogus copyright notices in which he swears Goblins really exist and that he ( ... )
